Subject: Hands-On Help Needed Thursday - Chicago Heights
From: DG Chuck Corrigan

Dear Club Presidents:

Please read the request for some hands-on assistance fulfilling a Make-a-Wish for a disabled person in Chicago Heights. Just a couple of helpers needed for a couple of hours on Thursday.

"This is Mark Goesel from the Rotary Club of Chicago Heights-Park Forest.

I received a call from a Rotary Club in Peoria that is doing a Make-A-Wish for a person in Chicago Heights that involves assembling a wheelchair swing on Thursday, November 12.  The email below has the details.  They said the would need 1-2 more helpers.

My name is Katie and I am the Wish Coordinator working on Steven’s wish that Janet reached out to you about to help us in assembling the wheelchair swing for his wish.  Thank you so much for your interest in helping us to grant Steven’s wish!  We have one of our volunteer that will be able to assist on Thursday as well.  The swing has already been delivered to the family which they are storing until assembly.

In regards to COVID-19 precautions we ask that any volunteers assisting in the set- up come and wear a mask while assembling.

Let me know if you are interested in helping assemble the swing on Thursday at 1:30pm and I can pass along the family’s exact address and contact info.

Please share with your Club members so we can help a dream come true. Contact Mark by email for more information or to volunteer.
