Subject: Excellent Speaker for Environmental Awareness!
From: Rotary Int'l District 6450

Dear District 6450 Club Presidents,

Are you looking for a fresh new way to brighten your Zoom meetings, while learning how to save our bees and butterflies at the same time? As the Environmental Awareness chair for our district, I have a guest speaker and a new initiative that I would love to share with you.

The guest speaker is Christopher Stein, and he is a park ranger/program manager with the US National Park Service. He has worked closely with two PDGs from Rotary District 5960 (located in SE MN/NW WI) on a project called Operation Pollination, and he is available to visit your club meetings and explain this invaluable new initiative. The title of the talk is pretty self explanatory, and as the environment is Rotary’s seventh avenue of focus, the timing is perfect. He will be attending my own club (via Zoom) in March, near the beginning of the pollination season, and I hope he can visit yours as well.

On a related note, did you see The Butterfly Effect in the October issue of The Rotarian? Both the article and the sidebar contain information about how to help us all in our pollinator efforts. I would love to go on and on about this exciting new initiative in our district, but I know you are busy. Please consider scheduling a meeting with Chris Stein before we ourselves join Operation Pollination this Spring!

Here is his information:
