TO CHECK YOUR PROGRESS, SEE THE CHALLENGE LOG

Challenge One – Appoint a Club Membership Chair

Enter the name of your Membership Chair in MyRotary or in DACdb and run the RI Integration in DACdb to sync the information in both systems.

Send an email to office@rotary6450.org when complete.  Check the CHALLENGE LOG in RESOURCES to see if you’re already done.

Challenge Two – Define Club Membership Goals

Enter club membership goals in Rotary Club Central by signing into MyRotary.

Send an email to office@rotary6450.org when complete. Check the CHALLENGE LOG in RESOURCES to see if you’re already done.

Challenge Three – Survey Your Club Members

Conduct a survey of your club members using RI assessment tools.  Use one of the sample surveys in the RESOURCES or develop your own.

Share the survey questions you used by sending a copy to office@rotary6450.org and let us know how many members took the survey.

Challenge Four – Engagement Activity

Organize a membership engagement activity with current and prospective members that supports personal growth, leadership development, service, or networking opportunities.

Do a service project, take part in a networking event, hold a club social, create a mentorship opportunity, partner with a leadership organization such as Toastmasters.  Use your survey results to brainstorm engagement activities that will interest your members and don’t forget to include prospective members in whatever activity you choose.

Report the activity you chose including how many members and prospective members took part to office@rotary6450.org.

Challenge Five – Retention Workshop

Hold a workshop to address your club and member needs.  This might include a Rotary Visioning or strategic planning session to help learn what members want to get out of their Rotary membership.

Report the day of your workshop to office@rotary6450.org and consider inviting a member of the District Membership Committee to your event.

Bonus Rounds

Challenge Six – Complete Learning Center Courses

The Club Membership Chair completes the Club Membership Committee Basics learning plan in the Rotary Learning Center.  Log into MyRotary prior to clicking on the link for the learning plan for easier access.  There are 10 courses which will take about 4 hours.  Think about assigning courses to different club members instead of doing them all yourself.  The link to the learning plans is in Resources.

Send copies of Learning Center course completion certificates to office@rotary6450.org.

Challenge Seven – District Membership Committee

Appoint a current or past membership chair to serve on the district membership committee.  Contact District Membership Chair Nick Fairman or Co-Chair Michelle Smith using their emails in RESOURCES.

Nick & Michelle will let us know if a new member has joined their committee.

Challenge Eight – Sponsor New Club

Sponsor or nurture a new Satellite/Service Companion Club, Rotary Club, or Rotaract Club.

Keep DG Rachel in the loop as you work on sponsoring a new club.  PDG Ade Onayemi will also be a big help.
